After a first consultation and an initial phase of two to four sessions, the treatment plan is individually determined with the patient. If necessary, online sessions are possible.

Psychotherapy

Analytic psychotherapy is a contemporary form of therapy based on the principles of psychoanalysis. Its primary focus is on understanding psychological problems and emotional challenges by exploring unconscious processes and inner conflicts, in order to find new ways and solutions to cope with them. The goals include:

  • Identifying and addressing unconscious conflicts and patterns contributing to the development of problems
  • Improving interpersonal relationships and developing healthy coping strategies
  • Promoting personal growth and self-acceptance
  • Increasing self-awareness and confidence
  • Coping with emotional challenges and life issues

Psychoanalysis

Classical psychoanalysis aims for profound personal growth and transformation. Typically, the treatment takes place lying down three times a week. It requires time and the willingness to delve into one’s personal past to gain a better understanding of current problems and conflicts, in order to overcome them. The high frequency of sessions and the extended duration of psychoanalysis are due, in part, to the therapeutic goal, as well as the resistance to change that often arises during the treatment and is worked on collaboratively.

Krisenintervention

Crises are difficult situations that are a part of our lives. They may involve personal losses, separations, or external, often unexpected events associated with challenging decisions or emotions. Crisis interventions provide support and internal as well as external stabilization in situations that often feel hopeless or overwhelming. Crisis interventions are time-limited treatments; however, there is an option to continue with further therapy if needed.
